It’s worse than that. If you slice a hotdog or sausage lengthwise (or is that linkwise?), you have a whole smaller sub sandwich bun inside the main one, made of meat. If you were to put something else that could be cut lengthwise inside that, you’d have a sub inside a sub inside a sub.

So I was reading the Submarine Sandwich wiki and I read this:
